Day-by-Day Journey

Day 1

Europe – Nairobi (See flight schedule)

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our representative will welcome you to Kenya. You will then be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Sarova Stanley (BB).
It is advisable to buy Kenya shillings at the airport banks on arrival.

Day 2

Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will meet you and briefly go over the itinerary before departing for Amboseli National park which is at the Kenya-Tanzania border. Amboseli is a great place to watch elephants against the backdrop of Africa’s highest peak – Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch you can relax before setting out for your late afternoon Game drive. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serana Safari Lodge, (FB).

Day 3

Amboseli National Park.

Full day spent in Amboseli Park with a morning and an afternoon game drive. Meals and accommodation at Amboseli Serena Safai Lodge (FB).

Day 4

Amboseli National Park – Tarangire National Park

This morning your guide will transfer you to the border town of Namanga where you will be received by your Tanzanian guide The driver will brief you regarding the Tanzania safari and then drive you towards Tarangire via Arusha. You can take some time to have lunch in Arusha (at own cost) before proceeding to the park. Depending on how you feel on arrival at Tarangire National park you can decide to start with game drive before retiring to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge (FB).

Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River covers an area of appr. 2,850 sq km and is probably one of the least visited parks of the northern Tanzanian game parks. This makes it retain a real air of undiscovered Africa.

Day 5

Tarangire National Park

Another day of game driving and resting in Tarangire National Park. Accommodation and all meals Tarangire Safari Lodge (FB).

This park offers wide panoramas of open acacia woodland and grass savannah, where herds of elephants and other unique wildlife, such as fringe-eared Oryx and kudu roam, run free. Seeing the game in their natural setting helps us understand their unique characters and lifestyles.

Day 6

Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro

Today you drive towards Ngorongoro with a lunch box from the lodge to compensate for missed lunch on day of arrival. The day can be spent relaxing at the camp. All meals and accommodation Crater Forest Tented Lodge (FB).

Ngorongoro - Eighth wonder of the world. The floor of this collapsed volcano spreads for 102 Sq. miles and the walls are 2000ft high, a truly awesome sight. The crater floor is inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to east Africa including the black manned lion and the endangered black rhino. The crater contains a river, several swamps, and a soda lake full with flamingos, a forest and open plains.

Day 7

Ngorongoro

Early morning descend to the crater for game viewing. Your guide will help you to order lunch box. Allowed time in the crater is maximum 6 hours. In the afternoon you can rest or go for a late game drive around the crater rim. Dinner & overnight at Crater Forest Tented Lodge (FB).

Day 8

Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park

Arise for an early breakfast, depart to the Park of legends and dreams “the Serengeti National Park”. You will have your lunch enroute (lunch box taken from Crater forest camp). On arrival you can check in and spend the afternoon enjoying the breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains from your camp. Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Tented Camp(FB).

Officially, Serengeti National Park is 14,763 km but there are no fences and the actual range stretches way past the borders, into Kenya’s Maasai Mara, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve in the south-west, the Grumeti and Ikorongo Controlled Areas in the west and the Western Corridor of the park in search of greener pastures. Serengeti’s other common animals include lions, leopards, zebras, Thompson gazelles, impala, Grant’s gazelles and buffalos. Most of the park is open grassland broken by isolated granite kopjes and patches of acacias woodlands

Day 9

Serengeti National Park

Day spent in the Serengeti Plains with meals and game drives included. Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Safari Camp (FB).

The Serengeti is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration and large predator population. From February to May, a herd of over a million wildebeests migrate for the Western corridor of the park in search of greener pastures. Serengeti’s other common animals include lions, leopards, zebras,Thompson gazelles, impala, Grant’s gazelles and buffalos. Most of the park is open grassland broken by isolated granite kopjes and patches of acacias woodlands.

Day 10

Serengeti National Park – Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Arise for an early morning breakfast and depart the camp with lunch-boxes for the journey to Kenya’s most famous Game reserve – Masai Mara. On arrival at the border town of Isebania, your driver from Turaco will welcome you back to Kenya and drive you to Masai Mara. Dinner & overnight at Olonana Camp (FB)

Day 11 & 12

Masai Mara Game Reserve

You will spend the next days exploring the Maasai Mara. Your safari guide/driver will take you to different
areas inside the game reserve, tracking down the lions, elephants, monkeys, different types of birds etc.
within these days you will also visit a Maasai Manyatta to experience the way of life of these famous
nomadic tribe of East Africa. Accommodation and all meals Olonana Camp.

Day 13

Masai Mara Game Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park

Arise to an early breakfast and then drive towards the Great Riftvalley to arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive provides an opportunity to experience one of the world’s largest ornithological bird spectacles – the pink flamingo. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp.
Lake Nakuru National Park is located 140km north-west of Nairobi and it is famous for the thousands of pink flamingos that cover the lake. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its flamingos and other abundant birds. It is also one of Kenya’s finest rhino sanctuaries. It was the first lake to be gazetted as a National park, where you will enjoy an amazing game drive to view both wildlife and the Lake. It is the best park to be lucky enough to spot the Leopard. Here will you spot most of the big five, i.e. buffalo, both white and black rhino, leopard and lion, the elephant is the only big five animal that is not found in the park.

Day 14

Lake Nakuru National Park

Today, you can opt to go out for a pre-breakfast game drive and return to the camp to relax. In the afternoon you have another game drive and a chance to visit the baboon cliff from where you have an awesome view of the park. Meals and accommodation at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp (FB).

Day 15

Lake Nakuru National Park - Nairobi

Take breakfast at leisure and prepare to check out for your onward journey to Nairobi. Enroute you can stop-over at Lake Naivasha for sight seeing or take a boat ride or have lunch (on own account). The rest of the day will be at leisure. In the early evening you will be transferred to the airport to catch your outbound flight home.
